I didn’t sleep very well last night before the mission. Things kept coming up and I kept tossing and turning, just one of those nights. Luckily, I had a doubleshot to wire me up for the ride. I got up at midnight so I could get a quick bite to eat and start my mission brief. While my guys prepare the trucks with all our equipment and supplies, I’m in the office putting the finishing touches on the mission brief that will tell everyone where we are going and what has been going on there. We had a pretty quiet route today so that was good. God bless you and prosper you, I’ll talk to you later…

Well, I got to go to church today, that was excellent! It was a nice 70 degrees as I walked to the chapel at 0945 this morning; I realized that is has been a couple months since I have been to church. I was surprised… I didn’t realize it had been that long
. I didn’t realize how much I missed praise and worship and a good sermon. While I had my own quiet times and played some worship music on my computer; it’s different being with other people praising and glorifying God together. I was very refreshed.
Later on in the day, I was headed to the DFAC (Dining Facility) for dinner, apparantly there was a shortage in sandbags because everyone had to fill one before they would be allowed int he DFAC. I filled my sandbag and laughed at the complaints of others next to me, then moved inside to eat. Sunday is my dessert day so I grabbed a cup of chocolate ice cream and cookies ‘n’ cream despite the low of 52 degrees outside. I miss the snow, but I’m soaking up this cool winter before the summer hits
:-O. God bless you and prosper you. Be safe, and stay warm…

Yesterday was maintenance, today and tomorrow is training. The commander left for leave yesterday so us LTs have to cover down for him. That means meetings (at battalion
) and reports and our missions. It should be alright.
Today the ground has mostly dried out from the rain we got 3days ago. It rains about once every 2 or 3weeks here if we are lucky, and turns the world into a giant bowl of mud soup :-p. We average about 40-50 degrees at night now and about 60-70 in the day. Usually about the time the ground gets good and dry, I’ve already grown 2inches and covered my room with mud. Once I get my room clean, it rains again. Today is a slow day with training and meetings. It’s nice to have a breather though from the road. God bless you and prosper you. I appreciate Everyone’s comments, support and prayers. Take care, I’ll be in touch…
