short lines
So today, well yesterday, I went to the Dining Facility (DFAC) to get the lunch. I had to get back to the company office to prepare for my mission so I got a “To Go” plate. Being short on time I started to scan the DFAC for the shortest line. I spotted a salad bar with one person at it so I executed a movement to contact. I maneuvered across the DFAC between trays and tables to the “Taco” bar. I enjoy tacos very much so I setup up two soft ones and some meat and cheese nachos
. I proceeded to clear the DFAC and move back to the company to prepare my mission brief and enjoy my lunch. I got back to the company and took a minute to have some lunch. It was at this crucial point that I realized WHY!? the “Taco” bar had the shortest line
. Everyone in the office was like, “Oooh, nachos and Taco Bell!” I responded rather despondantly, “No, not even close to Taco Bell. I went for the shortest line, and there is a reason this one was short :-S.” The BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front), make sure you know what you are getting in line for, and don’t just take the quickest, easiest path. Remember, consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)
