Ok, so I’m easily amused and enjoy the small things in life, but come on, would you expect any less from me!
So I totally just found new music released by Pillar, then Newsboys! If that wasn’t enough I found a new album by Skillet!!!
Wow, it made me smile a little bit
. Then I remembered Rachel’s words of wisdom, “Don’t go crazy and spend all your money.” I appreciate and love her so much; she helps to keep me focused when I might otherwise lose control and be like a kid in the candy store. Well, that is all I have right now; I just needed to share my excitement. Gotta go for a ride now; later gator…

Well, I survived my first holiday in Iraq. It wasn’t too bad; it was very different, but not too bad
. I had Toby Kieth’s song “American Soldier in my head for a couple of days there. I got some pretty good food in the DFAC and got to talk to my sweetheart Rachel several times and my friend Margarita and a couple others on the instant messanger. I myself was definitely running a mission on thanksgiving. It was quiet out on the streets though. In just a few short days I’ll have two full monthes in Iraq! that’s pretty exciting, Leave is a little bit closer and so is the final redeployment date.
. Yes there are some guys that are counting the days (most of them are stuck on the FOB and never leave); I cannot keep track of what day is it. I just keep pushing on to tomorrow. Well, I desparately need to go to bed. I love you and miss you, I’ll talk to you later sometime…

What’s going on everybody,
So I was doing really good at keeping an average of a post per week, but I lose! Anyway, I’m dropping a couple lines to get back in stride and drive forward from there. So, it does really get chilly in the desert; my incredible girlfriend, Rachel, lovingly informed me a couple days ago, that it was warmer in Muncie, IN than it was in Baghdad, Iraq. I was like, “Excuse me!?” It was a pretty crazy experience. The other day, I played some basketball; I realized just how long it had been since I balled, and also how long it had been since I worked out
. The missions are going well though, there is a contest between companies for who has found the most IEDs or UXOs. I am still getting settled into my room but it is coming; and the Platoon Sergeant and I are planning a cookout for the guys so that will be a very good time. Well, I need to go to bed for a little bit now. God bless you and prosper you, I’ll post later…
