Promotion ceremony

Command Sergaent Major(CSM) Hutton is telling my dad that you have to make sure the newly pinned on rank doesn’t fall off by hitting it. My Engineer Battalion Commander made sure that would not happen.

Promotion ceremony

Dad is pinning (velcroing) my Captain rank on my chest during my promotion ceremony. It was so awesome that he could be there.

Super Bowl Weekend

It’s been quite a weekend for me. I’ve been busy coaching a basketball league for 8&9 yr olds at the Local YMCA. Rachel helping me coach the little kids since her brother is on the team; we all have a good time together. While I’m still waiting on orders for training, I’m enjoying getting back into the groove at the City of Indianapolis. :-)
While I am very excited to be home this year for the Super Bowl, a very significant event took place that pushed the Super Bowl to the far recesses of my mind. It started Friday night when Rachel didn’t make it to basketball practice. Her car finally gave up the ghost in Muncie and was stranded. Rachel was rescued after Basketball practice and brought home. ;-) Saturday was spent shopping for a replacement car. :-D After some award winning negotiations, Rachel was back on the street with a state of the art Toyota Prius! She was so excited she was shaking. It was a very stressful and exciting day, and at the end of the day we drove away in a new Silver Pine colored Prius and celebrated at Outback Steakhouse. :-P Now Rachel is a true “green planner” as she cruises the strip in her new Hybrid at about 50mpg, woo hoo! ***Stay tuned for pictures ;-)

Now the Super Bowl is on tonight, I’m really excited about the commercials because I totally didn’t get to see those last year. For me, nothing can really top the Colts and Bears face-off last year so I’ll reminisce as I hang out with friends. God bless you and prosper you. Enjoy the game and festivities…
